1959 MG MGA

Twin Cam Roadster

This beautifully restored 1959 MG MGA Twin Cam represents one of the rarest and most desirable variants of the classic MGA roadster. Finished in British Racing Green over a tan interior, the car underwent an extensive refurbishment by Auto Vintagery of La Jolla, California, between 2021 and 2022.

The restoration included refinishing the body, rebuilding the 1.6-liter twin-cam inline-four and close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, overhauling the suspension, and servicing the four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes. The Deluxe bucket seats were also reupholstered in tan leather and vinyl, complementing the tan canvas soft top and traditional British color combination.

Additional equipment includes twin Weber carburetors, PerTronix electronic ignition, an upgraded water pump, a high-torque starter, a Falcon stainless-steel exhaust system, Dunlop center-lock wheels, and a mahogany-rimmed steering wheel. The car has accumulated approximately 1,500 miles since the restoration was completed and was recently serviced in preparation for sale.

Following its purchase, the front of the car was protected with professionally installed paint protection film, and a ceramic coating was applied to the exterior. The badges were removed during installation to allow the film edges to be properly tucked, resulting in a clean and nearly invisible finish.

Accompanied by extensive restoration photographs and documentation, this MGA Twin Cam presents beautifully and offers a rare opportunity to own one of MG’s most distinctive and historically significant sports cars.
